A sad reminder.

Today, my friend's dog is missing.  He got out of her yard last night, and she hasn't been able to find him despite all attempts including posters, phone calls to vet clinics, shelters, rescues, and searching everywhere.

Below is the poster that she has posted around Lethbridge.  If anyone sees him, please let me know or contact the shelter.

About a month ago, I found Duke's tag on the floor in the basement, and I have yet to put it back on his collar.  This has been a big reminder to me to do that because this could have easily been me.

The same thing happened to another friend's dog earlier this year, and though he had a collar, he had no tag.  Luckily a good person found him, gave him a home for the night, and phoned the newspaper and the humane society the next day, and he was reunited with his family.  I'm thinking that something similar has happened with Boone, but since it is Sunday, and the newspaper and other places are closed, so whoever has taken Boone in, hasn't been able to contact his owner yet.  My fingers are crossed for a happy reunion though:)

Have a great Sunday everyone & hug your pets:)

Mr. Handsome

This is Ivo.  He is my husband's dog.  He is a working dog - and part of our family:)  It's amazing to see a working dog work, then also see how they can melt at the hint of a butt scratch or a belly rub:)  We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

This is an older picture of him, but it's one of my favourites.

Have a great day everyone:)

Please, please, please?

This is one of my own dogs - Belle.  She is very, very sweet, but not all that subtle about wanting a treat:)

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope your weekend is going well:)

A bit absent . . . .

Yep, that's me lately!  But I have a good excuse (and that's all it is, is an excuse!)  Things have been insanely busy lately - thankfully it's been almost all good stuff:)

One of the most exciting things that has happened lately is that we have finally got set up to have our horses here at our new place!  This has always been a dream of ours, since we have always had to board them and have never got to live with them right at our own place.  I shot some quick photos one day, so here is one of Thumper.  Thumper has been part of our family since the day she was born (I actually got to witness her birth:), so it is pretty cool for me that I can look out my window and see her whenever I want to now:)

Plus, I'm also really excited to start shooting more horse photos - my own or yours:)  and I'm really excited to report that I get to do my very first official horse shoot at the end of the month!  I'm so excited for it!

Have a good one!

Miss Maggie Marie

Even though it was almost a year ago that I got to photograph her, I have to tell you about Maggie.  Maggie is one of the sweetest and spunkiest dogs I know.  She is 8 years old (I think), but has just as much or more energy than most puppies - and not just for an hour or so - she can go all day.

I saw that Maggie recently got a MAJOR hair cut, which reminded me of how much fun I had the day that I got to photograph her.

Maggie is just one of those dogs who is infectious.  If you meet her, you won't forget her, and just thinking about her abundance of personality can make you smile:)  Her and her mom make a great pair!

She loves fetching toys,

playing tug with toys,

and has an infectious smile:)

Have a great day everyone!
